After years of pure unadulterated hatred and confusion regarding Detective Kate Beckett’s wardrobe, I have finally cracked the case. Do you ever look at her all over the god damn place wardrobe and think, ‘how do these things belong to one woman’s closet?’. Well now I know, and I’m sharing this with you. 

Wardrobe guy APPARENTLY has an over the top obsession with Diane Keaton. 

Either that or he has no idea how to dress women and he thinks Diane Keaton is the go to reference. 

Exhibit A:

The First Wives Club. This was the one that cracked this case wide open for me. I’ve watched this movie enough times to spot a Diane Keaton muted color pantsuit. Everything else just fell into place. 

Exhibit B:

The Wha-HORRIBLE. The dark blazer of the dark turtleneck. Come ON. This is not the only time Beckett has worn something like this. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if she came in in a suede pantsuit. 

Exhibit C:

The Annie Hall. The vest, the tie. There is no chance Kate Beckett wakes up in the morning, looks at her closet and says “this tie from Men’s Warehouse was a great choice.” I’m not against the vest, but it’s just another piece of this puzzle. 

Exhibit D:

The Okay Now This Is Just Getting Absurd.
